Editing your pictures can be just as fun as capturing the moments! Personally it's my favorite part.. not only do you have time to reflect on the picture, but you get to be creative and make it your own.
Now a days, you don't even need to purchase photoshops that are costly, there are many websites that offer free downloads of photo editing programs. My favorite is picnik.com, which offers free services, but you can upgrade to premium for as low as $2.88* a month. (well worth it!!) For PC users, picasa from google, offers a free download which is also great. For MAC users, iphoto (which is already installed on your system) offers some great editing software.
Don't be afraid to use more than one software! But just remember the more times you right click and save your picture, the more the quality goes down.
If you want to go the more in depth route, you can purchase photoshops such as Adobe, for a price. That also requires installation on your computer.
Tips
- Most photoshop software that you can purchase, also have free trials you can download online.
- Remember that websites like picnik.com or downloads like picasa usually don't have tutorials, so editing is done on your own, but experimenting is always the best way to find out which tools you like best. Just remember the "undo" button can be your best friend =)
