I was just trying to figure out this whole unlocking buildings. I know you can pay horseshoes to unlock them or have enough friends on the game but are there any other ways? I seem to remember not having the school unlocked and it suddenly becoming unlocked (without an increase in the amount of friends I had or paying horseshoes) so will things like the inn or forge unlock eventually on their own? I have 2 missions right now that require the inn and 1 that requires the forge, and so I'm stuck doing one other mission (it's the only one I can see) as the 3 always appear at the top.

Am lil bit surprised.. as usually if u have missions that require those buildings, u should be able to buy them.
Pls keep us posted how things went for u in between..
