20 Non-Cooking Uses for Olive Oil

If you ever run out of shaving cream in the morning, just step over from your bathroom to the kitchen and use olive oil as a substitute. Not only does it save you a future trip to the drug store, it also helps moisturize your skin.

Commonly used in the kitchen for cooking or for simply dipping bread in, olive oil can also work as an all-purpose moisturizer, prevent your cat from hacking up hairballs, reduce your significant other's snoring at night, remove make-up, and keep your wooden furniture looking brand new.

For a cheap make-up brush cleaner, mix together dishwashing soap and olive oil. You can also use olive oil to unstick your zipper, fix a squeaky hinge, make an emergency oil lamp with an orange peel half, and more.
