Forum Thread: Crispy Fried Chicken Tenders/Strips

Hey y'all,

In this video I will show you how to make some delicious crispy fried chicken tenders (aka chicken strips). I'm not a big fried food eater so when I do make fried food, I try to use the healthier ingredients (if possible) but it's fair season so this is a perfect recipe for this time of year. This recipe leaves the chicken moist and juicy inside and the outside texture is perfectly crunchy, pair this with your favorite sauce and you'll feel like your at the fair already! Follow the instructions below or watch the video tutorial here:

Fried Chicken Tenders

1-2 pounds Chicken Tenders (room temp.)
1 C Flour
2 Eggs (beaten)
2 T Milk
2 C Panko Bread Crumbs
½ T Salt
¼ t Pepper
Oil

Fill a cast iron with oil about 2 inches and set heat to on medium. Next season your chicken with salt and pepper on both sides (to your taste). Next on a separate shallow dish add your flour. In another shallow dish add your beaten eggs and milk and whisk to combine. In another separate dish add your Panko bread crumbs and your salt and pepper, whisk together till combined.

Once your oil is hot (around 375 degrees), dredge your chicken in the flour mixture, make sure it is coating well. Shake off the extra and dip in into the egg mixture, shake the extra off and dip into the Panko and shake off the extra and add to the hot oil. Repeat. Do not over crowd your chicken in the cast iron. Once your chicken is golden brown (8-10 minutes) take it out and transfer to a plate that have been lined with paper towels. Cool slightly and dip in your favorite sauce.

Enjoy!
